I designed ’Painted Panes’ specifically to show off the vibrant color changes in Noro Ito yarn. Since Ito comes with quite a lot of yardage, this scarf can be completed with just one skein. The structure of the scarf is mostly garter stitches with eyelet lace cutouts. The stitches are simple and classic to really let the gorgeous colors in the yarn shine. Painted Panes knits up relatively quickly and is an eye-catching accessory for the cold weather.

13 sts and 28 rows make a 4” (10 cm) square in garter stitch, worked flat

405 total yards (370m/185g) of worsted weight yarn (I used Noro Ito)
US 9 (6.0mm) straight needles or circular needles with a 16” cord
2 removable stitch markers
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
