I wrote this simple cowl pattern on my trip to Olympic National Park in Washington. We spent the day exploring in early spring and I was so grateful to have a cozy neck warmer to help me stay toasty and dry. This is a simple stockinette design that is knit in the round. There are a few rows of 1x1 ribbing on the top and bottom just to keep the stockinette stitches from curling. This works up very quickly and I used less than one skein of Malabrigo Mecha.

Gauge
16 sts and 24 rows make 4” (10cm) square in stockinette stitch. Worked in the round and unblocked

Materials
120 yards (92g/110m) of Bulky weight yarn (I used Malabrigo Mecha, color: Glitter)
US 9 (5.5mm) 16” (41m) circular needles
1 stitch marker
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Skills/stitches Required
Knit
Purl
Knitting in the round on circular needles
Binding off

Pairs well with
